In 2015, Betsie’s collaboration with Armin van Buuren (under his Rising Star alias) was voted the #3 track of the year on his radio show, A State of Trance.  2016 will see the first Betsie Larkin DJ mix album – Angels, Humans and Robots (Vol. 1), will be released on Black Hole Recordings.  It will include a mix of her original material and a carefully curated selection of dance tracks from other artists. Each original is planned to be released along with remixes in different dance genres. Remixer appearances will include the Futuristic Polar Bears, Bobina, WSTLNDR and more.  The singles have gotten early support from Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance, Gareth Emery’s Electric For Life, Moor Music with Andy Moor, Solarstone’s Pure Trance, Corsten’s Countdown with Ferry Corsten, and others.
Betsie’s entrée into dance music began when Dutch Producer Ferry Corsten discovered her work as an alternative/rock songstress. Their first collaboration, “Made of Love” graced dance charts worldwide and hit the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The two have since written a total of 5 songs together including the theme for Nintendo’s Bayonetta 2, “Tomorrow Is Mine.”
After a series of featured vocal performances, in 2011 Betsie proved to the dance world that she can be the main attraction. She signed her first solo artist album to Dutch record label Black Hole Recordings and locked in producer appearances from DJ Mag Top 100 vets including Solarstone, Lange, John O’Callaghan, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Super8 & Tab, Bobina, Bjorn Akesson and Ferry Corsten. The album won over top dance radio shows worldwide, opened doors for Betsie to perform for fans on five continents and live on Sirius/XM radio.
Betsie has an hour-long mix show, Larke Radio, which airs on Digitally Imported/Mainstage radio, Music Choice, iTunes, and Soundcloud. As a DJ she has circled the globe making stops at music festivals in the Americas, Europe and Asia, Russia’s Teatro, Prive in Vancouver, Chicago’s Soundbar, Avalon in Los Angeles, and Ruby Skye in her hometown of San Francisco.
